it's been far too long since i have updated this blog. life has been a little demanding, and though i have been cooking as my passion allows, i havent been documenting as much as i should be. so expect quite a few updates, and finally my recipe for corn chowder! thaaaat's right, i've finally, after a year, mastered my particular chicken jalapeno corn chowder. actually, my mouth just watered at the thought. but before i post that, i have to catch up with some things from the summer such as all of Cinco de Mayo, and playing with some more concord grapes!
i've had some ideas sitting around for the fall, and one of which has my tummy rumbling. i don't often follow recipes (if anything i'll gather information from many recipes, and make my own) so who knows how things turn out. today, i thought of the possibility of making a Sweet Potato puff pastry, with a buttery crust, and honey and nutmeg. that also brought on the idea of revamping my sisters pumpkin ravioli, and instead using sweet potato, a little garlic and cayanne pepper, with a sharp cheddar/mushroom sauce. what say we??
last night we made little makeshift garlic knots by using premade croissant dough and fresh minced garlic. i entertained the idea of making a larger loaf of this, and hope to attack that soon :)
i hope you all enjoy this blog! i look forward to continuing it.
